Confused about ISO's

Well this is my current setup on backing DVD's up:
1. RipIt4Me
2. DVD Decrypter
3. DVD Shrink
4. Burn with Nero

i was trying to back up running with scissors and everything looks to be going fine, the logs look fine and i shrink it then when i burn with nero my DVD player does not want to read it. so i was going to try ImgBurn but the only filetype it burns is ISO's... what program makes the ISO files, for the life of me i cannot figure this out, it's probably my own ignorance but thanks for the help in advance.

you can srhink to iso and burn with imgburn insteed of nero
