How do I create an MDS file

I have a movie called "Blood In Blood Out" maybe some of you have heard of it. Anyway, The movie alone without any extras or anything just the movie is over 7GB when I tried DVDShrink The best I could come up with was 57% and that is just not good enough. What I want to do is transcode it " I think that's what you call it" with no compression and put it on two 4.7GB DVDR-W. Now, The movie contains no MDS files and when I used IMG Burn And went to create "DVD MDS FILE" it wanted me to select a path to it or browse for one . I don't have any at all in any of my movies so far, SO, What is the solution this problem.

If you are going to split your movie to two discs, you do not need a mds file.
You can use DVD Shrink to split your movie.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back here guys. I was kinda busy but thanks for the advice.


The movie is only 1 file. What I mean is when you open the drop down list in DVDShrink under main movie there is only 1, 7GB file so now what?

Click on File and then on Open Disc Image and then choose your ISO.
