    Sudden Imgburn errors, was working fine

    Hello all,

    I have had a couple failures recently. Everything was working fine. I was using DVDFab and then Imgburn to make an ISO and then burn to a dual layer disc. I am using Memorex +R DL discs. I know, I know, I should use verbatim, but these discs have been working fine for me.

    I am trying to burn at 2x to eliminate speed as a problem. I am only getting failures on DL media. If I use DVDShrink and a normal DVD+R, the burn works fine.

    I got a error window saying:
    I/O Error!

    Maybe I should not be using DVD Fab? But then, why would DVDshrink work with a single layer disc?

      Your using Ritek discs. Get some Verbatim or Taio Yudens. These are about the only discs that will perform consistantly well especially for dual layer burning.
      Oils well thats ends well.

          Ok, but I still have 5 or 6 of these things left. Any ideas on something else I can try to use them up?

              yours must have been one of the earliest firmwares, might help

              expect a few failures with ritek dual layer
