Need help creating DVD Video Image File for burning

Hi.

I'm trying to burn a dual layer DVD-Video (VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS folders) with IMGBURN. I read the STICKIES but I still don't get it.

I know I need to convert the VIDEO_TS & AUDIO_TS folders into an image file (.ISO or .IMG or whatever!) to use in IMGBURN. This I don't know how do.

Other than IMGBURN, I got POWERISO & NERO 7.

I just need someone to do a DUMMY's GUIDE with illustrations .. PLEASE! Also need to know how to burn with IMGBURN with what settings to use and all.

IMGBurn Error

Hi.

Can anybody let me know what this error in screenshot means? I don't think I got an error log like NERO to show.

Also, I just found out you can make an image file with DVDShrink. I tried it & it looks easy. In IMGBURN, it asks you to "Create Layer Break Position" so I get confused, I dunno which Green or Blue Star item to choose when I have more than one!

The log is shown all the time - unless you close the 'Log' window of course!

Just click the 'View' menu and select the 'Log' option.

Alternatively, click 'Help' -> 'ImgBurn Logs...'.

If you're being prompted for a layerbreak position, your IFO/BUP/VOBs must be too big to fit on a single layer disc.

The error screen simply shows your drive failing to burn to the disc. Check for firmware updates and try some different media. The only DL discs I recommend are Verbatim DVD+R DL's.

Update

I just successfully burnt a DVD9 with IMGBURN. I burnt the VIDEO_TS folder contents directly rather than "make an ISO then burn it with IMGBURN".

When it in "build" mode, it asks where to set layer break, I get 4 choices but this time SPLIP on all of them says YES & all were rated "average" star. So I picked the 2nd one. It was somewhere around 59mins into the movie.

Tested on SONY DVD player & all functions /features seems to work. However, when watching between the layer change there is a slight "noticeable" pause.

Is this pause the same for all burners / brand of discs / burning software?

I can't change the burner so the remaining variables are brand of discs & burning software. Do you VERBATIM users get this problem with DL burning with IMGBURN? How about other software like POWERISO, MAGICISO, DVDSHRINK, etc?

that pause is probably aggrevated by a bad part of the burn

Unfortunately I closed IMGBURN after testing the burnt DVD9 & didn't save the log!

I'm not going to burn the same DVD9 again but the next one I do I'll remember to save!
