OK, i reverted back to the firmware ts05 and burned 3 dvds. Only 1 failed, which I think was deff a coaster. I guess i will just stick to this firmware version until I run into anymore problems.

And the reason why I have a old musicmatch install is because version 7.5 is the best version. The newer versions are not too stable and have too much junk.

I have one question, when using imgburn, is it worth it to verify the disc?
I saw that the burning process (8x) is showing no error until it verifies it.

those pesky filter drivers may still be interfering with the verification

try to turn off all programs when you do a burn, I make sure musicmatch isn't loading at startup, unless you use that durn sonic program(it's crap) uninstall and remove filter

        MM7.5 was the best

Is the disc still working fine even if verifying failed?

I assume clicking 'Retry' doesn't work?

Assuming the failure is genuine, either the burn is so bad that the drive that just wrote the disc can't read it, or the drive has lost the ability to read full stop. That is of course ignoring any potential connection / driver issues.

Can you try the drive in another PC? and then another drive in your PC?
