What is imgburn verfying after initial burn??

Ok given that my setup isnt tuned for speed, verifying is still 1/2 the time it took to initially burn. about 1 hr it says.

What is this doing? I found the section in the guide how to do it, just dont understand the process.....

by looking at this log what speed am I burning at?

And Im assuming this is the max rate for usb ver 1.1

Turn on your DMA - see link in my signature.

EDIT: Sorry, you're using USB1 - be thankful if you get 1x. Move the burner to an internal IDE channel.

yep, so when usb 2.0 gets shipped here I should check the dma again?? right now is set to ultra mode 2

how would move the drive internal ide channel?

Open the PC and install the drive on either the master or slave (prefereably master). Make sure the drive is set for Master or Slave (but not CS).

Then make sure DMA is on on all channels.

Also, get rid of the Ritek disks and get Verbatims or Taiyo Yudens.

Read and implement the Golden Rules of Burning.

Im learning how to do this before I invest into it. Im sure I could drop hundreds of dollars into building a better machine, but what good is it if I dont know how to make it do what I want. Training wheels.

The verification process compares sectors from the newly burned disk and the source (ISO file, video_ts, disk, etc...).
