Burning a DL DVD using prog's associated w/TMPGnc software

    Hey guys:

I just recently purchased a plasma. The picture is not perfect anymore w/the 4.7 dvd's. So I want to try out the dual layer type dvd's. I used TMPGnc 2.5 and other associated programs to bring me to the burn. I set all up all the previous programs as correctly as I know how to allow imgburn to burn an 8.5gb dvd correctly, but I got this error (from the imgburn log):

Optimal L1 Data Zone Start LBA: None Found!(VTS_01)

There was a prior long winded error message that I didn't feel like writing down, but, this was the error message in the log when the burn started.

Is there something that I need to change in ImgBurn to make dual layer dvd's burn successfully??

    Thanks,

    jwmghf

What were you burning, an image (in Write mode) or a bunch of files (in Build mode) ?

If you were burning an image, get it back to the raw files and try in build mode.

If you were already in build mode, you'll need to break it down so there are some more cells - and hence a better chance of finding one that can be aligned nicely as the layer break cell.

      Hi Lightning UK:

Sorry I took so long to get back to you. I was trying to burn an image, so I did as you said and the program worked perfectly. Thanks for all your efforts and your great programs. I still also use dvddecrypter whenever I can!!!

      Happy Holidays to you,
