Question about the new feature (PTP) of ImgBurn 2.4.2.0

I thought the new feature ;

Added: The 'Create DVD MDS File' feature now has the ability to specify the Track Path for a double layer image (PTP or OTP).

means ImgBurn can burn PTP and allow L0 < L1.
Is it my misunderstand ?

I tested like below.

original DISC ; it is very interesting, it is L0 < L1(PTP seems to allow).
Track Path: Parallel Track Path (PTP)
Layer 0 Sectors: 1,737,168 (49.97%)
Layer 1 Sectors: 1,739,123 (50.03%)

I created MDS file which setting is PTP and LBA=1,737,168.
Next I tryed to burn, but message ;
"Optimal L1 Data Zone LAB: None Found!(VTS_01)
This image has not masterd correctly for burning onto adouble layer (OTP Track Path) disc."
was shown, and I stopped.

What does it mean?
ImgBurn can't burn PTP ?
or ImgBurn can PTP but not allow L0 < L1 ?

There is no burnable PTP media around, AFAIK. Just cos you master an image for PTP doesn't mean the media you are using is PTP.

If so, why and when using Imgburn's new feature which creates MDS for PTP ?

For professionals with proper hardware / software that find the 'Create DVD MDS File' feature within ImgBurn quite useful. (Someone on my forum did)

Also, it's only a couple of changes within the MDS file to have one or the other so I though 'why not?' and did it.

Not only that, 2.4.1.0 made MDS files where all imaged looked PTP so it was implemented whilst that was being fixed.

No, ImgBurn can't burn as PTP, it can make MDS files where a DL image has the PTP flag set.

This MDS can then be mounted in DAEMON Tools and the virtual drive will then be emulating a PTP DL disc (rather than being forced to an OTP DL one).

Replication plants could then use the virtual disc as the source for a client or whatever.
