The new system is called Windows Activation Technologies (WAT), and, so says Microsoft’s general manager of Worldwide Genuine Windows Joe Williams, will make life harder for pirates, even moreso than SPP did over WGA.

Plus there are some file versioning things not on Vista Home Premium but you can get access to shadow copies of files using Shadow Explorer freeware. It's just not as convenient as using the property page buttons.Comment

Well it would make sense that most of the pirates don't like Vista... and hey, the reason you can't get viruses on a Mac is that nobody uses Mac, not even the hackers!CYA Later:

drfsupercenter, your comment about Mac's not getting hit with virus's you are wrong. They are now being hit with sybots now. The computers are being controlled like MS OS computers are. I saw this article on inside tech about the Mac's getting hit.Star Baby Girl, Born March,1997 Died June 30th 2007 6:35 PM.Comment

Well it's still the same idea - it took them quite a while to put out viruses for Mac.
There were a couple known exploits for Linux systems too... but people can just be careful and not need to worry.CYA Later:

Microsoft's stuff are easier to exploit due to their design philosophy, which is to try and take the easy road as opposed taking the right road, in terms of design for security. For example, it might be easier to force all new accounts to be Administrator accounts in Windows, because Windows users are used to it, as opposed to making default accounts that won't give the user (and whatever program he runs) root access to everything.
Mac/Linux by default is designed not to require the use of a root account for anything other than making the most drastic changes to the system, so it's a safer design. However, this doesn't mean it doesn't have exploits, it's made by human beings after all, and so there will be malware on Macs/Linux, but it will be harder to produce.Comment

Well I think the main reason Windows is so vulnerable is because it's the most popular and most used operating system.
Hackers wouldn't have any use in an OS that not many people use, would they?
I mean, look at Firefox - it was supposedly super secure... but now just about every virus/malware I've come across gives popups and ads on Firefox, just like on IE...CYA Later:
