What languages do you know how to write. You must be able to know a fair amount, not just how to say "hello, world", actually do something.
What computer language(s) do you know?

In addition most of the above, I'am pretty good at XML related stuff (XSLT/XPath/DOM).
I'am also pretty good at Latex, and have even written a bit of cci code on occation.
I also write linux shell scripts regularly, although I'am hopelessly poor at that.
But why are java and javascript sharing a category ?, they are entirely different languages. C and C++ are much closer related.Last edited by khp; 11 Aug 2003, 09:20 AM.Donate your idle CPU time for something usefull.

Aside from the fact the are used in different domains, they are syntactically quite different.
Java is a statically typed language, while javascript requires absolutly no type checking whatsoever.

Assembler. The dirtiest language around. If anyone ever plays with assembler, they can learn the dirty nigley details about how your processor and I/O actually works.
But my favorite has to be Borland C++Government throws more money at a problem, so it looks like they are making a difference.Comment

my friend uses C and Assembler language. He is also an MIT graduate with a Masters in computer scienceComment
