    zx50,

Don't sweat it. IQ tests are designed and "administered" by those of less than brilliance, most usually. Interestingly, most of the architects of the IQ tests, though "learned" men were mostly of less than brilliance and are as the poem's "...blind men of Hindustan, whom though blind did endeavour to expound what an elephant is/'twas. One whom grasped the elephants tail, stated that the elephant was as a rope, another whom grasped the elephant's tusk said the elephant is as a spear, another whom grasped a leg, stated the elephant was as a tree, another whom grasped an ear, stated the elephant is as a fan, another whom grasped the elephants side, stated the elephant was as a wall, another whom grasped the elephant's trunk, stated the elephant was as a serpent, and it went on and on.

Though each of those noble males was respected, wealthy, learned and wise, and though each of them were partly right, each of them was damnedly wrong , because none of them had SIGHT.

I found it highly amusing that the architects of the tests have most usually had IQ's of less than 130 (stanford binet l-m) were "measuring the intelligence of some as high as even 217 (Marilyn Voss Savant - supposed most intelligent woman in the world (known)), whereas an IQ difference of 16 points can mean a life as a ditch digger or a doctor, lawyer, etc.. here those twerps were actually admitting her status (as compared to them) as a diety. I find Marilyn somewhat less than that and more likely a 180 or so.

I find that the architects of the IQ tests , though somewhat accurate up to about 140 or so, were exceedingly presumptuous after that mark.

Besides some of the IQ tests have feel good inflaters and also de-flaters. Some have cultural-bias, religionist, etc. questions and even some "give me" questions and even wrong/multiple answers. I have found that correct choices define the man as evolved and uncorrect choices as the "mark of the beast". the lowly man, the man whom is not honest, nor good. Education is only memorization and training, even apes can be taught sign-language and thereby the scientists did prove that apes do lie, also....SURPRISE!

The best advice a man can really adhere to, is to make correct choices.

I got 127 in my IQ Test, thats about what i got in a proper test i did a year ago. Its well above average for my age and sex, which is around 112, so im happy enough. IQ tests suit people who ist and do puzzles all the time and are not a test of intelligence at all. My father who runs a television station and has bought loads of various businesses and turned them into big profit making companies hasnt got as good an IQ as my mother, who does loads of puzzles, yet everyone i know would tell you he is soo smart and quick minded. Im not that smart academically, because i dont study, but i have a great business mind and got a 2.1 Degree in computing without studying at all. So maybe my ability lies in being able to just get by in life

If I can remember correctly, I got 26/30 for the Mensa test.

But for a real test of your intelligence, there is no better test than this one:

Oriphus' post about his parents IQ was interesting to me as it reminded me about Einstein and "his" theories. What is not so well known is that Einstein's wife was a physicist (and graduated @ top of class). The theory of relativity is "right-brained" for which Einstein was not known for such.........which leaves his wife suspect of significant publicly unknow contribution. as @ that time most caucasian women rarely received the credit for anything of significance, unless such credit was for their detriment. There are some interesting facts about Bill Gates' wife, also......and the fact Gates IQ is reported at over 140 (stanford binet l-m). Some may wonder about that scale (stanford binet l-m), a score of 132 is considered brilliance (top 2% of all people on earth). Some people even consider such brilliant people to be angels (of all things).

A successful business is usually a ouzzle (except for some business clubs' "locks") and "causing" a failed/failing business to succeed is the solving of a puzzle......so give your mother her "prop's", Oriphus, as sometimes even a word, @ the right time can sometimes cause a thinking "stream" to find the "river". Your training with computers should show you that.

As to Janet Jaclson's breast shown on broadcast television ... alas, I missed that "artistic expression" of the Jackson's repertoire. Do not flail me, I say unto you, I was busy" fixing" that commercial game, as all such commercial games are fixed, and therefore had no testosterone "need" to view such.............Have the "great thinkers said what such "behaviour" means? Have the behavioural psychologists explained such? .... but then, they do not understand such puzzles, as they lack some pieces, and so, they are as the blind men of Hindustan. Such wise men and such clinicians are not to be really, trusted, as they lack the "qualifier" (have they correctly understood the real identity of the god of the old testament?).

Aaaah, women......if not for their anatomy, which we sometimes enjoy, men would cause a bounty to be placed against them......as it is, it's : from the cradle, to the grave.

So, posters and those whom lurk and learn (as they should) before they post, ........ the real question is : What was/is the real message of that nicely shaped (from all reputable reports) breast on broadcast television @ this year's "play" gladiator staged event?

As to the mensan test, I did enjoy Playboys's Women of Mensa, I wouldn't mind "rocking their world".

Admin, have I made it too easy for some of the posters and lurkers?

If some are interested : some of the brilliant whom have worked in the intelligence "definition" fields have determined that some persons, whom through actual effort, perserverance and making the right choices, can, in fact, increase their intelligence by as much as ~ 15 % (schooling, instruction, etc. is not an increase in intelligence but is only memory). Some have even drawn a supposed analogy to a person as the harddrive and their life's experience (schooling, etc.) as temporary memory..........which is why I told zx50 to make the right choices....he already has the other 2 pieces of the puzzle.

So, people : What, therefore is the real reason for the breast on broadcast television by the Jackson gal (Not for enjoyment, t...ty bar has such) ?

                BTW......we are having fun.

Well...I'm bored...waiting for a capture to finish, so, at the risk of becoming a troll, I thought I'd pop back to politics. I'm currently capturing a History Channel presentation on Teddy Roosevelt. I knew of his trust busting activity breaking up monopolies while he was President...but I was astounded when the Bull Moose party was described as the "progressive wing of the Republican party." It seems his platform was nearly identical to the Democrats, calling for Women's Sufferage, Public Education, and Child Labor Laws. He (TR) was hoping to attract Democrat voters to defeat Taft. It looks like Americans were reacting to excesses of capitalism that manifested itself at the end of the 19th century with the profiteering made possible by the Industrial Revolution. It's funny how party lables really didn't mean anything during the period following the Civil War. To win office in the North one had to be a Republican (the party of Lincoln)...and the more numerous Northerners determined the President...until the Bull Moose fiasco. Conversely, the "Solid South" was staunchly Democrat...until inroads were made in the 1970's. Many factors in play throughout this period...like still fighting the Civil War.

Interesting thing, that Industrial Revolution, and the pledges and agreements Lincoln made with Britannia for the necessary money to continue the Civil War (North had run out of money and without such would have lost the war, had not Lincoln went begging to Brittannia with his hat in his hand).

Politics seems to change faces more than an actor in a two-bit stage play.

The Civil War was a harsh lesson for the US veterans whom survived the War of 1812 and all the paternal descendants of the US Revolutionary War veterans, many of whom claimed that the Tory's revenge was the Civil War. Aaahhh orchestration, subterfuge, and Byzantine intrigue still survive even unto this day. Remember what the Chinese Boxer Rebellion was about? And how the US Navy and Marines were used to murder Chinese citizens so Britannia could continue selling the drugs to the Chinese drug addicts, around the turn of the 20th century? Isn't George Bush (ex-president) a second cousin to UK's Queen?

It isn't easy being a direct paternal descendant of US veterans of the Revolutionary War and the War of 1812, but still, we try.
