I was a bit dissapointed with JarHead,

I didn't like it at all I thought it was a joke . And as for Jake Gyllenhaal this guy should be kicked out of the acting profession he just can't act IMO

I thought it was pretty accurate. The averarge amount of time each day spent doing something for the war was just 3 or 4 hours. The rest of the time was soldiers not doing anything, taking part in chemical attack drills and making their own entertainment. The first Gulf war was similar.

Anachronisms: The Crystal Geyser water bottle label seen throughout the movie is the current logo, not the one in 1991. Same goes for the Head and Shoulders Logo on the shampoo in the shower.

I got so immersed into the first one, I ignored the second, Jarhead was a bust for me.

i just heard Jarhead was made for the ratings & money not the real-life depiction of soldiers. now Hamburger Hill ! or Black Hawk Down... that was pretty accurate. the greatest part of these war movies... is when you have surround sound! it makes it 10X more realistic when you hear the bullets behind you and everywhere else. makes you feel like your there.

If it was made for ratings then it would have been non stop action and dumbed down for a PG-13 audience (more people to see it).

It is out in the US. I would like to see Ice age 2 myself.
