2007... Bug

For 2007 it has to be Bug. What a horrible film. I got suckered into seeing it because Ashley Judd is in it. There were some nice scenes of her but it was not enough to make up for such a bad movie.

agreed. that movie i thought stunk worse than pig manure. ashley judd who always looks good looked disgusting in it.

i'm a lil skeptical about going to see american gangsta. i agree about building up a movie so much. it usually ends up a disaster. seems like legend w/will smith is headed that way. the previews in the movies were so long, i thought they were showing a small clip. 3 of you said american gangster was good, so it must be pretty good. heard it was real long though.

any of you want to see a good flic go see Gone Baby Gone w/casey Affleck And Morgan Freeman. talk about reality shaking you up. this is some real world drama. i'm a sico for certain things. the ending made me kinda laugh and shake my head at how so stupid some people can be. check it out you'll see what i mean.

got a copy of Panic in Needle Park. Pacino's first flic. not that it's a big hit or anything, but i was curious to see Al in his breakthrough.

i'm not religious believe me, but there's a flic called Conversations w/God. any of you guys might want to check it out. pretty down to earth also.

I have seen it I thought it was an excellent movie.It was a bit disturbing in some parts but all in all it had a great story.Foreign films have really opened my eyes and showed me that great movies can be made any where you just need to do some research or listen to recommendations to find them .If you liked City Of God you may like Amores perros I think director Alejandro González Iñárritu is one of the true greats.I loved his other stuff as well like Babel and 21 Grams.I am looking forward to seeing more of his work soon

yeh 21 grams was cool. almost a lil like crash and that flic w/denzel where he takes the hospital hostage to save his son. all events interacted w/each other to lead to the ending.

there's a foreign french flic i saw about a supposedly killer wolf-like creature which was excellent. i'll try to get the name. it wasn't horror. great story and effects. a pretty good action flic was district b-13. foreign also. Frida w/salma hayek i thought was great. that girl's hot. she gets a lil naughty there.

i agree w/you on director's like Inarritu. they do excellent work. i have to check out Y Tu Mama Tambien, and maybe Love In The Time Of Cholera. I wish they would make a movie based on one of Jorge Amado's books. he's one of my favorite latin authors. His book Gabriella, Clove, And Cinnamon would make a good script for a movie.

I'm going to check out NO Country For Old Men. It does look like a good one.

I have seen Y Tu Mama Tambien and it is an excellent movie with a lot of sexual issues.What those male cousins did seemed so taboo,I couldn't fathom being that open with a relative.Some things just need to be kept private LOL.
Another good Foreign flick is Karakter.This film will take you an an emotional roller coaster, a lot of the stuff shown in this movie can be related to by most people and IMHO that is part of it's charm.This is all I will comment about this movie because it is hard to describe and I dont want give some thing away and ruin it for others that haven't seen it

I take it that was the re-make where the original starred Bradford Billman and directed by Jeannot Szwarc? The best film Jeannot Szwarc directed was Jaws 2. Jaws 2 is the first sequel in motion picture history to have the same title as the original except it has the number two asfterwards. Can you think of any other sequel with a number two at the end of the title before 1978?

Most re-makes do stink. I don't know why they keep re-making films. The only way to make a re-make good is when the story is changed slightly and when the characters names are changed.

The re-make to Piranha was an insult to Joe Dante. The re-make also had a lot of footage from Joe Dante's and it left stupid mistakes in the re-make. Joe Dante's from 1978 was great. The re-make was a waste of time and money.

the only flic i could think of as a sequel w/a number around that time is God Father Part 2.

i doubt it was on or before that time though. that was a great sequel though. matter of fact i think it went down as one of the greatest if i'm not mistaken.

like the last 2? it would be nice if they turned it around. even a remake of the 1980, setting it back in 1980, making it better with the same story. i'd be all over that.
