i use 'winhttrack' to get my tv guide automatically. i set it to download & save 7 certain links, each with a day's worth of tv guide. it outputs them to a single folder, and i can open the guide up like a normal offline webpage

that's a nice pic of angelina jolie in that poster, i'd bet you a dollar to a donut it's airbrushed to the max though
none of my pics have airbrushing!

I'll have to check it out. TClockEX is the name of the program. I like it because I can have it say the day, date and time the way I want it to. It's VERY flexible. It's free, but I can't remember where I downloaded it.

I'm in shape. ROUND is a shape. - George Carlin
@TNT: i can't remember the exact method, but from memory this should work : open your pic
duplicate it onto a new layer (lets call it layer1) & desaturate layer 1
duplicate layer 1. lets call it layer 2
invert layer 2
change layer 2's blend mode to 'colour dodge'
use the gaussian blur filter on layer 2, somewhere between 1-3 pixels i think, or whatever looks good for the effect you want
merge layer 1 and layer 2. lets call this merged layer layer 3
change the blend mode of layer 3 to luminosity, change opacity if you wish
now you can try a variety of filters that will give different effects, like 'film grain', 'smudge stick', 'fresco', etc. (i can't remember what i used)
should work, tell me if it doesn't, i'll correct it

yeah, but without airbrushing, where would we all be?
i don't know where i'd be (probably at home ) but my digital still camera would be back in the store it came from. either that or gathering dust in the closet. i've done some beauty/artistic retouching on almost every photo i've decided to keep. i keep the originals too, ofcourse

got some really nice new blinds coming up, arrow is currenly my fave. but its alpha blending pretty much stops all DXVA on my PC! i can't use overlay mode either (i do need it, though rarely, for some apps)!

Well, my desktop is a complete mess - almost no room for new icons! But, attached is the background I use, which comes from an old DOS game, available to download at my website, called Commander Keen. It was very good, considering the first ones came out before I was born (1990-91), but unfortunately the company went out of business.
