It is not something I would do but, what if someone with lots of points got a red and lost one or two points. Then he/she knew it was from and retialated back giving a load more reds.

How would he or she know who it was from if they stayed anonymous (as they do)?

I figure that there are ppl new to the forum that float the thread headers till they see something that they feel they could contribute to(that's how I use this forum) only instead of contributing they read the posts and give reds out to the ones they don't agree with. I feel this way because of the 8 reds I've gotten, none were more than 1-2 points and they all came in off topic on older posts. I'd hate to think of the hit i'd take if one of you 4-5 green guys belted me. blu gave me greens yesterday, 12 points one shot.

I hate getting neg points in a opinion thread, I can see if I tell a new member to format his hard drive but why red me for saying i think gas is too pricy?

i have NEVER given a reddie to anyone in a thread that is unrelated to DV. actually so far, i have only ever given a neg once, QUITE a while ago.
