DVD Shrink will not do video games, it is only for DVD-Video (DVD's).

With DVD Decrypter you can make backups of your games, simply do a ISO Read then a ISO Write. (Note if the game is originally on dual layer disc, you have to use a blank dual layer disc to burn to.)

It can't backup CD based games only DVD-ROM based games. I use Roxio Easy CD Creator to backup my CD games. Of course you will have to mod your game box to play the backups.

            np low!

agentoosoul, as pointed out above your PS2 and/or XBox must have a mod chip installed whether it be a soilder kind or a swap disc. You can go here for more info:

Ok, a strange question along these lines. Is DvDDecrypter able to handle the copy protection on DvD based games? I have been wondering about a solution to this for a while but have not had a chance to pursue it. What little i have learned seems to indicate that the games have a serial number protection that in theory cant be copied. I dont play alot of games but I am addicted to the Myst series (yes i am a light weight gamer) and would love to be able to have a working backup, or better yet "all" the files on my hard drive for faster responce.

Yes DVDD will copy the DVD-ROM based games with no problem. Use ISO read/write to make a backup of the game. It will play if you mod your box. PS2 & X-BOX won't allow you to play online with a backup. Tha's where the serial number comes into play. What HD are you talking about? Is it installed in your boxes? Ty for the responce Low, I am actually playing it on my PC, and was hoping for a way to get all the files there so I dont need the disc2 running to play. I was just hoping it would give a little better responce for moving around and for the clips that play. I have started looking at some other gaming forums but I have to learn the jargon and get a base of understanding before I will be able to get much from the posts there. This forum has impressed me by how every one tries to speak in regular terms for easier understanding and learning.

YW. DVDD ISO read transfers an exact disc image to the HD. Therfore all the files needed for playing should be there. I'm not familiar with playing PS2 & X-Box games on a pc. Good Luck.

I will try it tonight. If it copies all of the information, I think only trick will be pointing the Myst Exe file at the disc image. I will experiment and see what I get.

I'm pretty sure that there isn't an external mod for XBOX. Theres the Swap Magic Disk swap, but thats only for PS2 I think.
