History: The name “Medicine Hat” is said to originate in a native legend in which, during a battle between Creek and Blackfoot on the bank of a southern Alberta River, a Cree medicine man fled to the opposite shore and lost his headdress mid-stream. The Cree believed this to be a bad omen and laid down their weapons, only to be massacred by the Blackfoot. Medicine Hat was officially founded in 1884 and incorporated in 1906. The Canadian Pacific Railway’s search for water led to the discovery of gas reserves west of town and initiated the exploration of one of the largest gas fields in North America. Medicine Hat has been called the “Enterprise City of Alberta” with an economy based on agriculture, clay industries and manufacturing

Hey Blu if you think Medicine Hat is a funny name about a half hour drive from where I live is a city called Moose Jaw..plus A town called Bigger, a town called Elbow, Eyebrow etc etc...
Whenever I do the quiz I get second place..but it doesnt last long
