    Popular Misconceptions?

    What are the most popular misconceptions you have seen on this forum?

    I will start it off with one I have seen on a regular basis since my short time here.

    (Example) I have been burning with Dvd Shrink for a while now but lately it won't burn anymore.I don't know what to do please help?

    "Dvd Shrink does not burn".

    i dont think posting/collecting "strange" phrases here will help much

    if at all one might add the answers/corrections as well, what do you think?

          Not everyone that makes it to this site knows how a forum operates. People may have found their way here by Googling. Patience is always needed when guiding people to the answers they seek.
          "Wanted in 14 counties of this state. The condemned is found guilty of the crimes of murder, armed robbery of citizens, state banks and post offices, the theft of sacred objects, arson in a state prison, purgery, bigamy, deserting his wife and children, inciting prostitution, kidnapping, extortion, receiving stolen goods, selling stolen goods, passing counterfeit money, and contrary to the laws of this state, the condemned is guilty of using marked cards...therefore according to the powers vested in us, we sentence the accused here before us Tuco Benedicto Pacifico Juan Ramirez also known as the Rat and any other aliases he may have to hang by the neck until dead."

            I myself found these forums by searching on google for "DVD Decrypter Guide", as Zero G said. But I still came knowing enough about using 'Search' features of web sites. Even on Google using the 'site:' search command. But there are many people that just know how to turn on the computer, click a pictured icon, and that's it. Those of us to stuck with command line user interfaces (dos) referred to these kind as 'Vidiots'. But I do agree with Zero G that, in the ever popular words of that great tai kwon leap instructer.... "Ed Grooberman.. you must learn patience!".

                  Click on someone's avatar to bring up their profile. Then you click on "Find all threads started by"... they're sorted newest to oldest.

                      If you use the advanced searching - you can set the dates you want to use.

                        @UncasMS post#2 I agree.

                        @UncasMS maybe you could give an example of what you mean & let us see if we can take it from there?After all I want this thread to be informative to those who are going to view it not only just now but also later as well.

                          That all the people with low post counts dont use the search options, maybe they just want newer answers.

                            nobody said:

                            ppl with low post counts dont use search engines

                            but ppl asking the very same question that somebody else has already posted in the very same thread hrs/days before dont use the search engine and i'd vote for an auto-24h-disabling-posting-function ^_~
