Good topic Alienx69. After a lot of thought i'd have to say Madmax Road Warrior. Original Madmax was good, dont get me wrong, but Road Warrior is an epic (in my eyes).

I'd like to see an Aliens vs Terminator, there must be a comic of it by now. Theres been Aliens vs Batman, Predator, Superman etc.

i cannot agree on one single sequel but found a couple of examples where some (not all) sequels were fine:

Hmm... LOTR and SW are trilogies/sagas. LOTR was based on books, so it's not really fair.

Spider-Man is GOING to be a trilogy.

Indiana Jones is a trilogy.

But yeah other than that, I have not seen most of the others

sw is not a trilogy imho

but you may be right that lotr is not fitting here as it has always been a trilogy but nonetheless i liked part 2 and 3 and not all "sequals" can cope with its predecessors

SW is a "saga", or two trilogies. Saga just means having many parts.

I think both Spiderman 2 and Xmen 2 were very good.. I thnk the mark of a good sequal is it should try to surpass the orginal..not just rehash it and both of those movies went above and beyond..

The Matrix was a great film, opening peoples minds to new ideas. But its sequels werent better than the original.
