What is the BEST Sequel ever made ?

sw is not a trilogy imho

but you may be right that lotr is not fitting here as it has always been a trilogy but nonetheless i liked part 2 and 3 and not all "sequals" can cope with its predecessors

By best sequel, do you mean, best as in how much better it was than the first, or empirically, how good the movie was?

I liked Lethal Weapon 2 and M:I-2. (I preferred them to the Originals.)

Empirically, The Empire Strikes Back, (As it was the 2nd SW Flick in existence at the time.) And LOTR. These are good flicks that were not necessarily better than their predecessors IMHO.

I SO wanted the follow ups to The Matrix to be good. Damn shame.

Star Wars was never going to be 9 parts.

I like all the Matrix films. I think some people didn't like them because you don't get one action sequence after each other. There was some actual story in between them. There was story in the first Matrrix but it was limited and was really a film cramming in lots of action sequences instead. It was fine and made a good action film for the Summer, but the Matrix is much more than that.

I find the Matrix story in all three films fascinating and one of the best action sequences was in Revolutions.

I think Bourne series will be keeper if, as a friend who read the books said,
the third ties it all together and makes it!

I haven't read any so I will wait for the final chapter on video.
But compared to a lot of the other mentioned sequels I would consider
the Bourne series a definite contender!

I just thow them in but I have not watch any of the matrix, I like the real kungfu from Bruce Lee and Jetli, how about Fist of Legend from Jetli? is he better fighter then Bruce Lee?
