Another "What was that movie?" question

In the mid 80's there was a movie that was about this pilot and his co-pilot flying a top-secret stealth like plane. They were in the desert and as soon as they went into stealth-mode lightning struck their plane causing them to crash. The next thing the pilot knows, he's called to an inquiry about the crash because his co-pilot was killed. The final twist in this movie is that the pilot is really dead too. It's a lot like Jacob's Ladder was.

Does anyone know the title of this movie? Thanks in advance!

I was thinking that Love Potion #9 wasn't the flick because I didn't recall Sandra Bullock being in the movie. Did you watch it all the way through to see the scene in the car where the dude wears the gas mask and the girl lights a match and WHOOSH!? Let me know, 'cause this one is driving me nuts. I might just have to put it in my Netflix queue just to check it out.

The flick with the plane wasn't Firefox. A good Clint Eastwood flick, but not the one. The movie I'm thinking of may have had 'Blue' in the title, though I really can't remember. What I do recall though is the pilot and co-pilot are on a test flight, they get hit by lightning due to certain properties of the planes stealth mode, and they crash. The co-pilot dies, and the pilot is brought before a board of inquiry where he gets grilled about the accident. You think he's getting in trouble, but the end of the movie you come to the realization that the pilot actually died as well. I like movies that have a mental mind screw involved.

This one's been bugging me for ages - literally, years.

About 30 years ago I saw this. British flick. Maybe even a B&W. Can't remember.

About a chick who gets together with this loser of a guy. The authorities are looking for a escaped psycho and all thru the flick you're worried about the chick and what this guy's gunna do to her etc etc.

The climax is on a railway station (I think) somewhere and you find the guy has been stabbbed (I think) by the chick who was the real escapee. Great twist.

Can't remember it and would really want to get this movie.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks for the idea BR7, but that's not it. See's an escapee from a mental institution, but you don't know it until right at the end - you assume it's her boyfriend and she's the one who is in danger.

Maybe I'll ask my brother this weekend. He seems to know odd things like movie titles. Googling for the answer hasn't worked, and the vid store kids just look at me with glazed eyes.

Could your movie be "Deadly Strangers", a 1974 film with Hayley Mills? I saw it a very long time ago, but sounds similar to what you're describing.
