My husband was in meetings in Davenport Iowa and met Tim Sylvia at a rest/bar. I guess he and Matt Hughes were training somewhere around there. Said he was a really nice guy.

I'm not a big UFC fan but I occasionally watch it with my husband. Matt Hughes is from a town not far from here so I keep up with it a little.

For once I had input on this thread, not much but........

Sylvia bumped into one of the guys my husband was out with and the guy didn't even look and said something about where the he11 are you going. (keep in mind this guy isn't very big, my husband said he's not much bigger then me, I'm about 115) Sylvia told him "Anywhere I want" Then my husband recognized him. He told the guy he better shut the he11 up, he was running his mouth to Ken Sylvia!

They talked to him for quite a while. He gave them his autograph and took some pictures with him. They were gonna buy him a drink but he was drinking water since he was training.

Husband said he was "One big son of a ***** ". Guess he could eat alot of pancakes too!!

I moved away from the Quad Cities area almost 4 years ago.....Sylvia trains in Bettendorf, Iowa, one of the Quad Cites, along with Davenport, at the Miletich camp.....used to see those guys all around, and grew up with one of their instructors Steve Rusk, some bad mo-fo's indeed!

I think GSP showed to much respect....he should have jumped on him from the bell.

This happens too often in these big fights, I'm just glad someone finished.

I'd like to see a rematch of GSP and BJ Penn, with the winner getting Sera...

Penn already has a win over Sera and should've beat GSP the first time, so it makes for good fights in the future, especially if you add Hughes and a couple up and comers like that Koscheck dude, who I thought couldn't beat Sanchez...

Just watched the fight (had it recorded on media center) and all I can say is...
Dammmmmmmnnnnnnn!!!!!
Could see it coming though from the beginning of the fight...you could see the winner was just quicker and more dominant from the start. It was hard to see that leg contorted like that...and they showed it over and over again...

I'm not gonna give away who won so that those who would like to see your link can watch for themselves...

The whole card was great, except Arlovski's fight.
