This was a picture taken from a Helicopter ride my son and I took, while on our 2000 vacation to the Wisconsin Dells.

This picture shows the Noah’s Ark water park. The body of water behind the park is Lake Delton.

These next pictures are the best Sunset pictures from out 2001 vacation to the WIsconsin Dells. From the Aloha Beach Resort on Lake Delton.








This next Picture was taken also in the Dell's at the Tommy Bartlett sky, ski and stage show. At the end of the show once it is dark and the sky is black they end the show with the Dancing water's and laser light show.
The Dancing a variety of water fountains that spray up and out in different patterns they use colored lights for the color effect. The laser lights go by very fast and are hard to capture with a still camera. I used my digital camera for this one.

The next pictures were taken last summer (2005) during a storm. This was a storm that produced 5 tornados’ I was standing outside like an idiot trying to get a shot of a tornado. Unfortunately the tornado never made it where we live as it died it before it reached us. But I thought the cloud formation were kind of cool.

Those are great shots! I have a few I need to dig up. I especially love the sunset/sunrise pics. The tornado clouds are eerie, don't you think?

This a picture from Bluefield WV, where I did most of my growing up. It was taken by Mel Grubb a local photographer a few years before I left the area. This was a freak cloud that got too close to the ground and when it hit the mountain, it appeared to just boil over....that is bluefield on the right.

Torado clouds doo look spooky but cool.

The scarey part of where I live is a real tornado sounds a lot like a train passing by. We live 3 block away from train tracks that are active with 5 to 12 trains per day. So when the tornado sirens blare off and you hear the sound of a train, you never know if it is only a train passing by or is a twister getting close!

We never get tornados in Michigan so Twister (the movie) is as close as I get, LOL

We get them all summer long, IN WI there are 6 counties more prone to them then the rest of the state we call those counties Tornado alley of Wisconsin.

I live on one of the tornado counties. Last summer we had to hit the basement 9 times in ONE day from early in the morning all the way threw the night, storm after storm. ALL of the tornados I have been through I have still never captured a video or still picture of one. I am still trying though!

The thing is it depends on where my son is when one hits. If he is safe at a friends I can chase the storm if he is with me I am grounded to my own basement.

The kid comes first.

We all know Twister the movie was all made in Holleywood but I tell ya its prety close to the real deal. They did an awesome job with that one.
