Level 0 -- Striped Disk Array without Fault Tolerance: Provides data striping (spreading out blocks of each file across multiple disk drives) but no redundancy. This improves performance but does not deliver fault tolerance. If one drive fails then all data in the array is lost.
Will just be running RAID-1 chewy. Will still do my backups
Inside my PC I just have 380GB (300GB and 80GB). It only takes two HDD's.
If I include my externals. I can add another 200GB and 300GB which makes 880GB in total. I have uncompressed DVD's on my externals for use on my home cinema system.
If i had a spare £100. I would get a Seagate 400GB that I just seen on sale. I paid £90 for a 300GB in January.

I don't have experience with SATA. My enclosures are USB 2.0 and Firewire. I currently have them on USB 2.0 and they seem fast. I can transfer 7GB in about 5 minutes.
I have a 160gb and 60gb internal and a 250gb external. The 60 gets swapped with a couple of 40's I have, keep meaning to get another big internal to replace it so I can stop fidling around with the small ones.
