I bet 99% of Britian doesn't know about it either. It is not something that is mention on the news like July 4th. This doesn't really surprise me as the BBC and ITV news reported that England was out of the world cup before mentioning the news about The Battle of the Somme memorial services.

BTW, Toronto weather is more temperate than where i come from. I think someone exagerates! Or they never saw snow before. How quaint.
If you want to see real snow, go a little south of Toronto,CA on the other side of the lake to to Buffalo,USA area.
