    firmware for home dvd players

I once sent my pioneer dvd player back to the company to have it fix, when i got it back from pioneer they said they loaded the latest firmware ,and cleaned the lenes, and its been working good ever since, knock on wood.
My question is this, is there firmware for home dvd players?

Thanks for that link I will call the toshiba customer service and find out if there is any firmware for those at least for the toshiba models.
      Interesting topic though.

        my pleasure, PA!

I am going to look into that for my Sony as well...

It seems as if there are updates for everything that we use...what's next - the tv/refridg/toaster...

Don't forget the obvious and that's to check the manufactures site sometimes they can surprise you

                great link ,thanks katzdvd

thanks for the topic, Mill! I hadn't even given it a thought until you brought it up. However, I should have...

It seems as if there are updates for everything that we use
My brother had a GPS & a Fish Finder/Depth Sounder that had web updates available.

Ya where is the TV firmware flash to make them all HD
                I can go for that!

Actually, I wish I could flash the TV firmware to get rid of the annoying TV logo in the corner of the screen - I hate it & always will -just like the WS black bars on my standard tv
