I just checked out of curiosity and Blu's roo is hopping like mad and your brain is changing color. Sounds like an interesting problem. Not sure why you aren't able to view them properly...

It's the same problem if you use IE6?

Did this happen after you upgraded to 2.0 of Firefox?

What, if any, image viewers do you have installed?

In IE 6 (maybe 7 as well), go into the options (Tools -> Internet Options -> Advanced -> Multimedia -> make sure "play animations in web pages" is selected). There might be a similar setting for FireFox as well.

Also, clear your cache because that helps sometimes as well.

I hope you can solve the animation problem. Just so you know your avatar is working as an animated gif. I can see it changing colors. So it is working. I hope you can get it to work soon on your end.

In IE7 all the boxes should be checked by default!

                      TY all for ur responses.
@ admin, IE6 options are already clicked as per ur advice---no luck. I regularly clear my cache too. I cannot find a similar setting(about playing multimedia)in Firefox 2.0.
@ burcs, I have ACDSee installed as image viewer.

OK. Problem solved. It was Zone Alarm's adblocking which caused the animations to be disabled.Enabling it and repeated clearing of cache files( as advised by admin) restored the animations. Thank u all.

Glad you got it fixed paglamon. I looked for a similar setting in FireFox as well but could not find one.
