good ol stan died in 65, olie in 57. they were born 2 years apart. 1890 and 1892 respectively. i have a rare british BBC documentary of the two in color which shows olie having lost a ton of weight. almost as slim as stan. i have yet to see an actual off-camera interview, that would be priceless to me. i wish i could have met one of those fellas somehow. i treasure my L&H collection more than all my 700+ films combined. i just watched a couple last weekend and think i will watch another tonight with all this discussion, in fact i think it's time for another avatar change

I would have loved to meet them but they died before I was born - long before. I was born in 1972.

I wish I could have some rare stuff on them. I have a TV VHS recording about them but I don't know if it's classed as rare now. It's only a short programme about 30 minutes.

I treasure Laurel & Hardy, too. I have to say, my number one film of all time always comes first and that's Jaws. It always will be my number one film of all time no matter what else comes out. I know Jaws is a different catagory but I always have Jaws as number one. Anyway, with Laurel & Hardy I need to watch them again as I said in a post earlier because of this topic.

I love this other scene when Stan was pulling Ollie up with the block and tackle when the mule was involved when Stan said, "wait a second, I need to spit on my hands". Stan let go of the rope to spit on his hands forgetting Ollie would crash to the ground. Ollie left a massive dent in the ground with his body weight. Lol. There are so many funny scenes to mention but I'd be here for bloody ages to talk about them.

      Darren.

That's the title. I was trying to think of the title to that one. I do get sloppy at remembering the titles to some of them.

Fin makes me laugh as well when he keeps making those faces and sounds.

When I was a kid, I remember watching Laurel & Hardy on TV on BBC2 in the late evenings at weekdays. That was when I got into them. They started about 5:00pm. BBC2 had many more repeats. They did show them in the mornings a few years ago. I feel proud to have them on DVD.

I can't believe nobody had this show on their list.

The San Pedro Beach Bums: With Christopher Murney, Stuart Pankin, John Mark Robinson, Darryl McCullough. Five friends since high school decide to share a houseboat in beautiful Southern California. Charming Buddy is their leader, Boychick the ladies man; Stuf believes big is beautiful, Dancer is a fidgety type, and kind Moose lifts weights.
