Chewy you're right on target w/this one. Hey maybe she'll prove to be a major distraction in regards to any foreign policy or future war whether cold or not? Putin might decide to get out of Georgia and move to a igloo in Alaska. He's use to the cold weather already. Lmao...

@Kabu. If you mean sushi I love it. Especially the salmon roe. Saw a special last night on blue tuna. Very expensive and popular delicacy in Japan and all over for that matter.

I don't like the salmon roe or the the big fish eggs that look like tongue ...
I do eat most everything else, but that is an expensive diet. I stick mostly to udon, yakisoba, tempura, and donburi with soy meat. My kids have stopped eating with me ... LOL

The salmon roe I usually eat last after some salmon teriyaki w/tempura and vegetables. Lunch box special comes w/miso soup and white or brown rice. Of course a combination roll also. Not bad for about $10. Figure for a couple more bucks than a value meal at Mickey d's why not eat something way better. Had popeye's today for lunch though. Was starving and that 3 piece dark meat w/biscuit and cajun fries hit the spot. throw in the free refills on the drink and I was happy as a bumble bee.

If I go to Popeye's, I want one thing only. Red Beans and Rice! LOL Takes me back to life in New Orleans and catfish po' boys. I found a great chain restaurant for "Cajun" food. It's called Pappadeax's. Outstanding ...

I don't eat the usual sushi. I like Kohada, Taco, and Unagi. It get's expensive to fill your stomach with them ... lol

Pappadeaux is great! I have eaten there several times on my way to New Orleans.

Have you ever eaten at Acme Oyster House? They have the best red beans and rice along with oysters on the half shell.

Besides some yuppified Italian restaurants that serve seafood platters, along w/the usual Red Lobster, and some Spanish restaurants that have a variety of different seafood dishes like seafood paella, ceviche and some really great shrimp casseroles, the only other spot that's still half way decent is City Island. They've fallen off a bit but you can still get some really good seafood there.

I've been eating red beans and rice most of my entire life as it's part of my culture and when mom decides to go all out it's all bets off for any restaurant. Nothing like a great home cooked meal.

Is Acme down your way jmet?

Acme is about 5 hours east of me (im in Longview Texas and Acme is in New Orleans LA) but, I tend to frequent New Orleans for vacation and Mardi Gras and always make a stop there to eat!

Nothing like a great true and tried seafood place. Wish there were more around here in the city. One reason to get away every once in a while.

Ah, well, I didn't have much choice in where we live. I was just born here.

But luckily my parents did their research before moving here... Troy is part of Oakland County which is like the fourth wealthiest counties in America... so there's every type of store imaginable here. The only problem comes when places jack up their prices because a lot of Birmingham is rich... so I actually buy stuff more online these days.

Troy School District is also one of the highest ranked in the country... I guess that's why my parents moved here. They have these nice computer labs which I'm using now

Hi Super. Can't do a damn thing about that miserable weather there in Michigan huh. Everyone I know who's lived there is either transplanted somewhere else or looking to. Ah, like you said no choice you were born there. I have a love/hate relationship w/this NYC, but my deal has to much of a gravitational pull so I'll tough it out for now.

I am in Will county Illinois, near the Indiana border, as soon as my son graduates from high school. We are blowing this pop-stand. Moving south or west. With warmer winter temperatures.

                          Hey doc,

I would say go West ... away from Hurricanes and Tornados ... BUT then you have to deal with all the NUTS (Granolas) in the West!
