Divx 5 Windows XP and Media Player 7

they say not to download windows media player 7. Great and if your a windows Xp user that likes to use windows media player your f#ucked? I recently made a divx movie of L.A. Confdential. Used FlaskMpeg .60, divx 5 pro, and the standard mp3 codec. Used divx 5 with Two Pass Encoding. Well wen i play the movie on Windows XP with WMP 7 it locks up (tried it on many Win Xp machines). But any other viewer works like divx player 2 alpha (the playa). Now the OS is important because this problem doesn't occur on Win2k. WTF and why is 7 so bad!!!!!!!!!
