Confused (Gknot and DVD2AVI)

I'm quite confused right now. I'm trying to encode the Matrix and I ripped the VOBs a LOOONG time ago using some program that created a text file, too, with the following info:

I only want one audio track, and I don't know which one. I ripped one audio track (I think) and the file name was "matrix AC3 T01 3_2ch 384Kbps DELAY -101ms.ac3" and the size was only 383 MB. Is that an appropriate size or is it too small? When I did something 6 months ago I got a wav file that was 1.5 GB. So I'm clueless right now about what to do.

This is the main audio track, you can see this because the filename says "T01" meaning Track 1, which is usually the main audio track, the other two probably has directors comments or something like that. And without knowing the specifics of the movie, I would say the file size sounds about right.
I suppose you might use the wav file that you previously created, but IMHO you might as well, encode from the AC3 file, just to make sure you get everything right.

the information (given by SMARTRIPPER) state that you have two ENGLISH soundstreams:

Stream[002] X=[[0x80] Audio English AC3(6Ch) 48kHz ] [] [] [] []
Stream[003] X=[[0x81] Audio English AC3(2Ch) 48kHz ] [] [] [] []

both are of course AC3 streams, one is a two channel surround and the other(the 1st one) is a 6 channel dolby digital 5.1 sound.

you can use either one, though for downmixing to an mp3 format the second 2 channel is the better choice.

the reason why this AC3 file is way smaller than a WAVE-file is simple: wave is UNCOMPRESSED.
