Ok lately my DVD rips have been turning out like crap and I'm not sure what the reason is.
I'm using gknot and the settings I normally use with other rips that have turned out fine. I've also tried a couple of different players which seem to help a little but not much.
What's happening is that when I play the file everything looks pretty good untill something white or bright (usually a light) comes on the scene then it looks as if the bright object (again mostly light sources) looks all pixelated or highly aliased and it only looks like that around that object all other objects look fine.

The above is with zoomplayer but it looks the same with wmp 6.4 and divx player.
