AVI file will not play, what codec do I need

AVI file will not play, what codec do I need,

I tried to read the avi file using word, and
saw the words div50XX

but I dont remeber what the last 2 digits
were , can anyone tell me what codec
I need, and where to get it from ???

looks like you need the divx codec. use Avicodec or Gspot to load your avi and it will tell you what codec you need. you can d/l from here or the tools section at www.dvdrhelp.com
