Sound problem

I have a movie and the sound in it is like 8sec late than it should be What can I do about it?
Can I convert it and synchronise video and sound and how can I do it?

You may consider using Virtual Dub. Under "video" select "frame-rate" and then the option "change video so that audio and video durations match"

if its 8 seconds throughout the whole film, use a delay of 8000 and give it a try
