I just have a quick question. When using AVI_IO and capturing I am doing it as an uncompressed pcm file. This results in huge avi files. I think for an hour it was around 60 gigs or something. Is this the best option I have? I was hoping to be able to get the base file a bit smaller.

using a different codec might solve your problem
pegasus picvideo mjpeg or even divx/xvid with highest bitrates might be worth a try

You could certainly reduce the size of the audiostream by using .MP3 instead of Uncompressed PCM...Comment
