recompress audio in nandub...

I am trying to recompress the audio on some divx movies to save space, but Nandub is not cooperating. I am setting the video to direct strem copy and the audio to full processiing. Then I am selecting my audio compression rate. Most of these movies are mpeg layer 3 128k, 48000, and I am trying to go to 96k, 48000. Then I select save as avi. Nandub pulls up the status menu, and every works fine but there is no or very little audio data. What am I doing wrong? Do I have to uncompress the audio and then recompress it? If it makes a difference I installed the Nemo codec pack.

why dont you use an audio-editor instead and make the changes you want to and afterwards mux with nandub/vd?

The procedure you described works perfect for me with the original Fraunhofer or Radium mp3-codec.

It works fine for me to. A tip though is to lower the frequency on the audio rather then the bitrate. With lower frequncy 41.1 khz you still get the quality of a cd with and with a lower filesize and no loss of quality in the bitrate section.

also, some older sound cards may not support 48000Hz.

Sometime 48000Hz sounds like ASF sound!

But downsample to 44100Hz using goldwave or wavlab.
