    Problem interlaced pal source

I'm riping friends series 2. The source is interlaced and when I'm using the filter that comes with GK, I don't know what it is, the pictures when there are motions, like them walking around, when the camera is draged from one side to another, get behind in a strange way. I don't know if it's because the interlaced source or not. But I haven't had the problem before.
Should I try a different deinterlacing filter or what?

there are two filters one should always have in store for DE-interlacing.
one of them will always give you the best results.

    gunnar thalins AREA BASED deinterlacer
    and
    donald grafts TELECIDE

they are *.vdf and thus installed and used like usual

    in area based try 15/25
    in telecide 15

you can check which one of them works best by scrolling through your output-window

I have downloaded both now and I have tried the area based deinterlacer so far. It gave a small, not much at all, improvement to the picture. I'll try telecide now and see how it'll work out.
        Thx a lot

              It's a pal source.
It's not that bad though. I'm putting 4 episodes on on disc so the quality isn't the best. But I can handle it.

                you mean DEINTERLACING?

try smart de-interlacing in the FIELD OPERATIONS when you save your avs file!

dont worry about the numbers and circles in this picture. it is part of my nandub guide - so dont get confused!
