    nandub...anti-shit

    hey guys
    in encoding errors prevention & quality control... i do 2 cd rips with ac3 sound ...can someone describe these settings for me... i set them to:
    full
    anti-shit: 16db
    min quality: 0db
    motion modulation: 0%

    are these good settings??? please describe if u can

      If you use 0dB for min quality it's a little bit faster as if you use a higher value. Afaik this option results in more keyframes because every picture that is worse than shit is reencoded as a keyframe. If you want maximum quality you should use 20-30 for min quality. I've not tested a lot with the motion modulation, but for high-action-movies this option should give some extra quality.

          Higher values for any of that three result in a higher possibility that the filesize is bigger than the calculated filesize.

            for a two cd rip i can guarantee, that filesize will be most precise with the settings i suggest!

            i have never had a single avi that turned out toooo big.

            too small, however, is sometimes possible due to fully saturated codec-settings and dvd-source material.
