Hi

Am new 2 divx, I thought all i do is download divx 5.03 player and then i can watch movies in it, I have downloaded2 movies but neither play and i get the same error message four cc code = 0 need to install a new codec, I have looked through some of the other messages on the site and have downloaded tsunami and have played with it but am not sure what i should be doing i have got the file to play but there is no sound and a static picture what should i b doing???

try analyzing your file with GSPOT (see thread: no sound -no video) and post whatever virtualdub tells you about the file infos.

This is a fake file. There is no audio in the AVI

h8 2 ask the obvious how can i check that im downloading a real file, before ive spent the whole weekend d/loading a movie only 2 find out its fake?????

Use Kazaa Lite 2.02 with K++ edition and it has a program called AVI viewer that will decode the .dat file and let you play it. If the file is Xvid you might have problems with that program though

do have kazaa thats where i downloaded the 2 movies are all theusers on kazaa unknowingly sharing blank files, where can i get alternative files?
