    Bad picture with RadLight

With some video-files I play in RadLight or Windows Media Player, the picture is of bad quality, kinda like using windows in 256-color-mode. However, the problem doesn't occur when I play the file in Winamp 2.91, or Vidomi player. It's annoying though, since these programs doesn't support subtitles. I tried installing a later version of Nimo codec (5.0 build 7), but it didn't help. It's a mystery to me how it could work with some programs and not with others. It resembles somewhat the problem I had earlier with the "green screen", but it's not the same. Those files work perfectly now in all programs. G-spot tells me I have the codec needed...

Anyone have a clue how to fix this?

it seems that winamp and vidomi use built-in filters to decode video. it can explain that only directshowfilter compliant programs (wmp, I guess RadLight too...) have problems.
btw, what's the video codec (+ version) needed ?
if you are a "final user" (you only play, no encode), I (we) recommend ffdshow (alpha) to handle divx/xvid/mpeg4.. playback.

The problem occured with files using the DivX 3 Low-Motion codec. After installing ffdshow it works fine though. Thank you very much.

Talk about all other file container formats and video codecs in this forum, including Ogg, RMVB, MOV, ASF, WMV ...
