But is this the format that allows you to Copy .avi movies onto CD and watch them in your DVD player?

If it isnt, Does anyone know what or if there is a programe that allows you to do that?

ALSO:

does anyone know any good FileSharing programes (other than Kazzaa) which enables you (in theory) to download various films movies?

does this question refer to divx?

the answer should be NO (for most cases) because hardly any dvd player will accept divx/xvid avi as input (though some players of the latest generation do)


as for your other question: please stick to the board rules!

vcd or svcd can be burned to cdr and will play on your standalone.

convert your avi to svcd using tmpeg or dvd2svcd.

you should find plenty of postings on this topic.
