I've been with Netflix for a little over a year. When I first started on the 2 week free trial at 3 @time and it was like being in a Ferrarri doing 200MPH. Went from an average of 20 per month down to 12 then up again and down again. The last month and a half I have had to report DVD's missing after I returned them and Netflix did not acknowledge receipt of them . But ya can't do that until the DVD has been shipped and 6 day went by. Same thing on receiving them from Netflix, you can't report a DVD as not being received until after 5 days after it was shipped. That could amount to a total of 11 days per turnaround.

Throttling - huh if Netflix was the gas pedal in that Ferrarri this last 3 weeks or so I'd be lucky to do 20MPH.

Thats why I dropped Netflix. They do throttle, but in an underhanded way. First they start off like lightning in a bottle, then they start having movies that all of a sudden are missing for an extra week or so, then they start making the new releases unavailable as long or very long waits, and the final straw was when they had a certain movie showing as available but they did not send it to me even though they had received all three of the movies I had out over the weekend and the next day showed that available movie as very long wait!

Blockbusters tells you straight up that they try to distribute their movies in a fair as possible manner which may include sending a movie to a customer that rents out less per month than another that trys to get as many as they can.
They are slower though, but with their in store coupons every week, I get at least one new release each and every week. And when I received a disc that had a scratch and skipped in a couple places, they sent me another instantly right when I reported it>

Every person has their own preference and opinions on this and I just wanted to share mine.

Netflix keeps revising their terms of service and as they state they do not have to notify you about it. They do mention that they cater to low volume renters first, but nowhere do they mention they won't acknowledge receipt of a movie. After 6 days and reporting a movie as lost it automatically makes the next one available in your queue to go to a shipping status.

I believe with BB you can report a movie as lost after 3 days.

Edit - Netflix says its the USPS fault and the USPS says theycan get mail to anywhere in the Continental US in 3 days and says it's Netflix fault.

I just wish the USPS ould put a postmark on them envelopes. I've gone from 1 day delivery to 4 day delivery at times. I live about 20 miles from the PA shipping center for Netflix.

We did go to the beach yesterday, but not that section. I got some pics of the water, and some people parasailing and stuff, I can upload later. My parents go everywhere I go, so the lady-hunting stuff is not ideal in this situation.
