I dont have a problem getting my movies from blockbuster online and I live in alaska. They send me four movie every week and then I get to turn those same four into the store making it 8 movies a week 32 movies a month. I only have to pay 23.99 and if I were to rent 32 movies at blockbuster it would cost me 127.68 so I find it well worth the money.Comment

Got to watch "Casino Royale" last night.. I thought Daniel Craig did a very adequate job in his portrayal of Bond, but I didn't find the story line very compelling. It was a good movie and well executed, but not a real nail biter.. The villain just wasn't evil enough except for the scene with Bond strapped in the bottomless chair. I like the villains to be trying to take over the world or start WW3 or something so that Bond can come in and save humanity at the very last minute. All in all I give it an 8.sigpic

Wow, I didn't realize I was so stupid; I am glad I called BB today so they could explain to me how the world works.
First I was told; "ya know how when you use yer credit card to make a purchase & then the charge doesn't show up oin your statement untill 48 hrs. later? Well, your queue works somthin' like that when you turn the mailer in at the store"
(Note - actually, my bank posts the transaction almost immediately online)
When he saw I didn't buy that one, he then changed course;
Seems that there is a software problem that the BB engineers are working on. It has to do with the "lag" time from when you check the mailer in at the store & the time the actually ship the next one.
It is a spotty issue & only affects a limited amount of areas. He went to check, & sure 'nuff my area is one of those that is affected by this software glitch. He did apologize profusely, & said he felt my pain & wished he could make things all better.
I am so tired of hearing "I'm Sorry" that the words are meaningless anymore. At any rate, I did get 5 ecoupons for my 1 1/2 hrs. total phone time.
Translation - What he really was telling me:
So, to recap, I am glad I took 1 1/2 hrs. out of my schedule to make the call today, 'cause now that he explained to me how the world works, I no longer think the earth is flat...I think...Comment

At least you can turn the rentals in at your BB stores in the US. Here in England you have to use the mail and send em back, it's like they are two different companies.
I was also interested to read that you guys seem to get new releases pretty quick as well, for me it's very hit and miss. Of all the latest in my list since Christmas I have only received 1 in the week of release - most take ages, I guess my online Co (not BB) don't have many of the same discs ? That said they have now started renting PS2/PS3 games as part of the same offering if you pay a little more so will give that a go - not sure how that will work tho, some PS3 games could take a while to finish and without a big supply of them people are gonna get pee'd at not receiving any when they have to pay more. Will let you know how I get on...."There will come a moment when you have the chance to do the right thing......"
"I Love those moments - I like to wave at them as they pass by...."
Stop !! Before you post read this !

All was going pretty well for the last couple of months, after an hour long (on-hold) phone call, in which I received a few ecoupons for. After that call, they started shipping on time.
Now, they are back to "normal" (throttle) again. I turned in 2 mailers at the store on the 7th., & today (12th) they notified me that they received the titles.
Then, tomorrow or the next day, they will notify me that they are sending the next ones in my queue.Comment

I return my movies every Tuesday. That way I get up to three new releases a week. I'm retired, so I can watch a lot of movies. With the three from the store every week and three in the mail, I sometimes have to watch double features to keep up. But as has been said, that's quite a bang for the buck.Comment

I have canceled BB online I am so sick of the BS these guys put out and I really dont give a $h!t how good of a deal they have. For one I am constantly getting broken and unplayable discs, they never ever ship my movies in order of my queue it and it takes up to 3 months and counting to get a movie that's #1 on my queue.I never ever had this much trouble with Netflix far as I am concerned Blockbuster can kiss my A$$ .I will never ever use their service againComment
