    Re andy 24

Not to sure on the compatiblitiy with the Plus media that you have used on a samsung DVD player,
If it works OK on your PC, i.e. you put the DVD into your drive and start something like Power DVD, and it plays, you shouldn't have any problems, different dvd players like different types of media, From what I understand, the Plus media is slightly better, and more compatible, the only thing I can see, is, what speed is the media branded at, if it is 4x then you should be ok to burn at 2.4 speed, but if it is 2x, then you will need to burn at a lower speed.
If you can put up what media, I know you said datasafe media, but if there is any more infor on it, I might be able to check it out better
hope i was of some help.
    Paul.

Not much else on it Paul!

      Datawrite DVD+R
      Datasafe Media Ltd

      That's It
      No write speed details
Although 2.4x is the slowest write speed I can select!

Wondered if using a more expensive
      Media might help?

If you look on there web site (above)
        It's the generation 1
        (no write speed listed)

        Although
        Generation 2
is listed with a 2.4x write speed

And guess what, my supplier DiscHouse
        Does not sell
        Generation 2!!!

So does that mean I should write at 1x
        on the generation 1??
        (if I could that is)

          Re

I have not tried the Plus media, but I have had problems with types of disc that will only write at 1x, If it is a 1x speed disc, and you are writing at 2.4x, then this could well be your problem.
Try this site for 2.4 speed media
          hope that helps abit

Just finished burning it on a
            Verbatim DVD+RW
Which is rated at 2.4x write speed
            on there web site,
            &
It's come out worse than the datawrite
            when played in my Samsung!
although it still plays fine with PowerDVD

In nero I selected multi session & got
the message "this recording will only play
in XP & will not play in some DVD's"

So I am now burning it without multi session
to see if thats any better, did not get the above message either!
