when u run rempeg, ur supposed to divide 4.3gb by 5.06 gb, and that is the percentage ur supposed to reencode by it should be about 85% and it will fit on a dvd-r,
actually a 4.7gb dvd-r is 4300mb's and not 4700mb'sComment

Hey alicia,
Maybe I can help you out a little:
First, you can find free guides to most of your problems at www.doom9.org.
Second, I have found that TMPG is a much better program than ReMPEG2 and if you want to invest a little money, the Plus version of TMPG is excellent. I've used both and TMPG causes far fewer headaches.Comment

Hey
hey guys, and Gals, hows it goin??
I use Bulkpac, as i live in the UK, I can get them from bigpockets for about 85 pence each,
I found that media that is only 1x rated is crap and skips about, the best I can say, is look for the Gen 4 and 2x rated.

A pence is one hundreth of a pound.
When you are wondering about the bitrate, I take it that this is in Rempeg?
Most movies have a bit rate around 6-7megs per second, and so they dont fit onto a dvdr, so all you need to do is, look at the size of the folder with the video vobs are in, and find out what the size of it is, then, divide that by the size of the dvdr, so say
dvdr holds about 4.3, and folder is 5.6, so 4.3/5.6 =0.767, so your bitrate wants to be reduced to say 75%.Comment

Ok
would this require a conversion to mpeg or this to work.?
Is this posted in your guide perhaps the second section.
If so I am sorry to waste your time.
hundreth of a pound so how much is a pound .Questions: I got a million of em.Comment

now ime really confused
Do i need to open wordpad and type it in so it looks like the ocean
one. or what.
cause the sample is just a help file.
And furthermore, does it have to correspond with vob files (ie vob 1 to say vob 6)?
won't the file be empty if u just type it in?
Man am I confused
says the file is 5.4.Questions: I got a million of em.Comment
