Many DVD burners require that you first PLAY a commercial DVD in them - so that a region is established...

I guess as many pioneer drives the player/burner is RPC 1 based.
just follow setarips advice the regionsetting can be removed afterwards!!!

I would not underestimate barbie_gurl since she surley did some chat and knows how to set a forum to read. and as she has shown , knows to defend herself in her own way..... as anyone has to if he/she is adressed in a opposing manner!
