I have been trying Shrek R1 for comparisons as I was interested.

Disc one is the 4:3 version of the film and came out like this.

If that crashes too, I'll need to look into it. It would be cool if you could pinpoint which VTS causes the crash, and if possible, which cell (look at the log).
In fact, I'd like to take a look at the log, see if there's any unusual message...

BUT:

The 7 minute featurette (350Mb) is in VIDEO_TS.VOB (PGC 5) and so this is, in fact, an extra not a menu.

In the R2 PGC5 (Video_ts.vob) it's also the featurette. My problems are when it gets to PGC6 (which appears to be a music video - The Wall Flowers "Heroes" also in the Video_ts.vob)

165mb which of course is not a menu either so it looks like Godzilla won't be breaking any records.
