Basic Guide How to Convert AVI Files to DVD with Avi2DVD
Hi, all. I've been using AVI2DVD for sometime now and have had great results on the DVD output except for an issue I have with the audio.
There's just one part that I would like to find out more about.
In running AVI2DVD BeSweet conversion settings default to creating an ac3 audio stream with boost setting of /b=1 /l=0.95. The resulting audio is quite low and I've been trying to create a modified setting with different boost and bitrate figures which I'm having some difficulty with.
How can I make new settings and have them run as the default on AVI2DVD when BeSweet is processing?
And also I would like to try to have AVI2DVD produce a 5.1ch audio ac3.
I used to LOVE FAVC when I was using XP ... but it does NOT work for me under "VISTA Home Premium 64-bit" I have tried and tried and it chokes. I have even gone on doom and posted a Q to MR_Odwin ... and no reply yet!
hello all,
im new to this forum and im having a problem with this procedure. Hopefully someone can help me out. im very new to all of this so please bear with me.
the problem im having is that when going to choose an audiostream, there is no option from the drop down menu.
i followed the steps to remedy this from some posts back (thanks by the way). I downloaded virtual dubmod and changed the settings as recommended i went to streams, the stream lists and right clicked on my file to make sure that it is in full processing mode and also that the compression was set to no compression <pcm>.
I alos went to video and selected direct stream copy.
i went to save as and saved my new file on my desktop.
when i went to open it in avi2dvd there was still no audiostream option.
i went back to virtual dub mod and opened the file i had just created (with the setting changes) and i found out that the under stream list it was no longer under Full processing mode, it was under direct stream copy.
it seems to me that the settings arent saving. the only thing i can think of is maybe when i have the "available streams" menu open, instead of hitting ok when im done, maybe i should select "save wav".
