PGC Edit

Hi everybody!
It's a long time that I've been away from here, I was working outside my town without a pc! Sigh!
Finally I'm at home again!
I've tried to use PGCEdit for a DVD and I've found that it's not able to work properly. The DVD continues to give me advices and PGCEdit is not able to clean what is bad. I don't know if there is a new release of the software or what. I always used PGCEdit until 3 months ago and It worked very well.
Someone can help me ?

You will need to give much more precise info as to what you are doing and what is wrong. Make sure you have the latest version 7.1.2

guys would It be ok to discuss how to use this better. I would like to understand how to follow it to beat the arccoss protection and others.

once you load a dvd, what are you looking for. whats the first step?

lets use an EXAMPLE TO LEARN BY
say "underworld-evolution"

I know that the last 2 vob sections are crap. how did you know useing this program. is there a users manual. I like to do a simple one here!!

There is a very good FAQ by Gary_D on ripping Underworld Evolution using the plugin - search for it. To detemine whether a VTS is "crap", you need to see if it is referenced. Ctrl-G on a PGC will tell you how it is called. A VTS that is only referenced by itself (like those phoney 1 hour 36 mins of black video) is a candidate for blanking.

PgcEdit was not designed as a ripper - but is really an advanced DVD authoring and editing tool. Once a DVD is ripped, you can do a multitude of things with it. Just run through the menus to see what you can do.

There really is no example to learn by, but we'd be happy to answer some specific questions about editing with PgcEdit. Maybe if there are sufficient questions, we can do a PgcEdit FAQ. I'd urge you to read the (out of date) help manual though and the guides on the PgcEdit site.

With the use of PgcEdit rising all the time because of the PSL2 plugin I think a guide would be great. PgcEdit does so much and there are so many features that a guide that showed every thing that it can do would be a massive job to do. The help manual by blu is a great addition

The more you play around with it the more you will figure out. Also the more you use it the more specific questions you will have as you learn it.

As jm1647 has said that program does so much there cant possibley by just one guide for it.

Also at the doom9 forum there are many posts that go back to the start of PgcEdit. In the 7.2 topic r0lZ has links to every version topic and there are some great posts in there by r0lZ and other users that are very detailed on how to do things...A lot of reading but worth it.
