    Subtitles lost in avi2dvd conversion

I have an avi with subtitles as viewed by wmp. When converted to dvd with avi2dvd they do not make it through. Does anyone know how to retain the subtitles on the burned dvd?

    TIA, John.

Thanks, I did read that but as I am a newbie it did not compute. What do I use to 'look in the avi container' for the subtitles?

i don't really work with subbies often, but from what i understand you need to have them seperate .srt files for avi2dvd, named as described. if they are in the avi, they must be "extracted" out and converted to .srt with something like subtitle workshop.
